Chaperone

Family safety, today, is the household account.

Chaperone can open a family account: a household and a registered guardian. That is the safety boundary the product actually has. It tells you who the guardians on the account are. It does not watch a phone, set an app limit, meter screen time, or apply a parental control.

Device monitoring is not available yet. App limits are not available yet. Screen time is not available yet. Parental controls are not available yet. None of those are launched, and none of them should be read as a feature a family can turn on after creating the household.

The account that is available is described on family accounts. Create a household uses that existing flow. The registration page is not this article. This article stays on the public site so the limit is visible without signing in.
